Here is the combination of power and freshness that's so difficult to pull off in Yecla. The wine is elegant, too. Plenty of bitter chocolate and fresh blackberry fruit, and a very energetic finish. Drink now.

Type of grape: Monastrell and Garnacha Tintorera,Syrah

Aging time: 12 months in oak and 12 month bottle aging

Type of barrel: 228l and 500l French oak

Wine growing: Old vines, non-irrigated.
Between 10 and 35 years old, different vineyards between 700m und 900m in altitude, extremely stony, limestone, continental climate. A cooler vintage with long and slow ripening period.

Vinification: Harvest in small boxes and manual selection, fermentation in stainless steel tanks and in open oak barrels, Malolactic fermentation in barrels, bottled without filtration.

Atlan y Artisan

Atlan & Artisan works in the same directions,in our own vineyards and as well with few selected artisanal grape growers, in an organic approach with the nature. The harvest is a lengthy process between the different parcels of the old vines and younger plots. Few different selections are done in the vineyards. As such, the wine that we make from each parcel possesses distinct personalities that are true expressions their immediate terroir.

The winemakers are Sebastian Keller,  with experience of great wines at numerous acclaimed vineyards and consulting services to vineyards all over the world has made a name for himself with his wine business. Working with old vines, such as in Murcia is more than a passion for him.

Phillipe Bramaz, formally trained as a winemaker, and at a young age, he learnt winemaking, worked in famous Bordeaux trading houses and travelled extensive in France. Founding his own Wine Company.

 

Murcia · Epistem

Epistem begins with a careful selection of vineyards, whose owners who know their terrior inside out. We have been in this region since 1998, working with the old vineyards of Monastrell. In 2011 we made our first vintage of Epistem.Inspired by the philosophy of natural branch of the Theory of Knowledge, Epistem, is the product of two paths that lead to the truth in nature: logical reasoning and sensory experience. Applying analytical thinking to the manifestations of nature. Working with our own vineyards and other artisans with the same approach, of sustainable organic production.

 Majorca – the biggest of the Balearic Islands with great heritage of forgotten wine culture, we found similar Artisans as of the main land. The Island and the Sea given its nature as island, each direction open to the sea, the winds brings the most influence in agriculture. Each corners of the islands creates special microclimates and seasonal changes. To source the grapes of our artisans we select different locations, to create a wine under the name of 8 Vents – 8 winds of the island.

 

Mosel Germany

Unique and breathtaking: the terraced vineyards along the Mosel river valley. Cultivated thousand of years ago by the Romans. Here, in extremely stony shist-ground, grow some of the best wines in the world. The wines for Atlan & Artisan are vinificated out of selected vineyards and parcels, cultivated by Artisans. Each grape is picked by hand in small boxes, manually selected, carefully fermented and bottled. For a wine with a home and its story.
