The NV 10 Years Old Tawny Port has a dark color for its age and a nose of nuts, dates and molasses, with a slightly burnt twist. It still has some red fruit nuances and is faintly spirity and not too sweet, with a long finish. It has a dense texture, velvety and warm. It has the customary 20% alcohol, a pH of 3.57 and 99 grams of sugar. They don't bottle more than 6,000 bottles per year, depending on the orders they receive, and all the bottles carry the bottling date.

I tasted a wide range of old Ports from the family of Cristiano Van Zellers. The company claims to be the oldest Port family, since 1920. All these wines are impressive, and tasting them in isolation would impress you; but tasting them together, next to each other, gives an even better perspective and allows you to see the nuances, which are sometimes difficult to discern in the very old wines.

Lovely sweet primary fruit with dried sweetened papayas, persimmons and nutmeg. Smooth and medium-sweet on the palate, with tea, figs and sweet, sun-dried blackberries and blueberries. Attractive and very well balanced. Drink now.
