Historia

Lismore Estate Vineyards was built from the ground up by Samantha O’Keefe, a Californian single mother of two boys in 2003. 

Om vingården

Med ett av de svaalaste klimaten i Sydafrika med extrema dagliga temperaturskift, presenterar hennes viner oss med en mycket distinkt platskänsla. En som berättar en historia i glaset. Lismore är pionjären för vinets ursprung "Greyton", det har utsetts av SAWIS som erkänner den unika och speciella terroiren i denna region.

Tillverkningen av vinet

Sam’s wines displayed finesse, purity of fruit and balance with streaming acidity. A result of skilled winemaking and the unique cool climate site, at 300 metres altitude and poor soils. The vines, like the owner, has struggled along the way but manged to produce stunning fruit.

Vinmakarens stil och filosofi

She singlehandedly established Greyton, located in the Overberg region of South Africa as wine region, Lismore is the first and only winery there.
