Tasting note
Our Rioja Reserva reflects its origins: the high altitude vineyards of the Sonsierra with their chalky-clay soils. A perfect balance between concentration and freshness, ripe fruit and herbal nuances. A very long-lasting wine. It is already a modern classic.
A red Reserva made from Tempranillo grapes from old vines over 45 years old, located in our own vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. After selective, manual harvesting, the destemmed grapes are selected by hand, berry by berry, using sorting tables which function via vibration and weight. Long periods of maceration and intercellular fermentation with autochthonous yeasts in French-oak vats. Natural pumping over and devatted by gravity. Malolactic fermentation and cask ageing for 18 months in new French oak.
