A masterpiece of a wine and the result of a careful blend of grapes from five vineyards from two prestigious appellations in Santa Barbara County. Solomon Hills Vineyard and Gold Coast Vineyard from Santa Maria Valley blend seamlessly with Peake Ranch, Zotovich and Drum Canyon Vineyards from Sta. Rita Hills, each bringing their unique nuances to the ensemble. The influence of Santa Maria Valley's fragrant and perfumed grapes is combined with Sta. Rita Hills' structural depth, weight and power. It all culminates in a wine that is rarely seen better. Golden shades in the glass and with an aroma of creamy, golden apples and honeydew melon. Luxurious and lush fullness on the tongue with subtle undertones of wet stone and lemon add complexity, while a balanced acidity ensures life and balance. Light citrus notes harmonize with elegant touches of vanilla from the use of French oak during the aging process.

'We are thrilled to also offer you our Matinee line of wines which are almost exclusively released to our restaurant clients, some of the finest restaurants in the United States and abroad. We made a few extra cases this year that we are making available to our mailing list. All Matinee wines are made with the same love, care, and attention as my single vineyard designate offerings. Our Matinee wines generally feature less new French oak (roughly 20-30%), making them perfect for earlier consumption in less formal settings. Some of you may have already tasted a Matinee bottle and enjoyed them for years, but for most of you it will be a new experience.'
