Tasting note
This exceptional wine displays a golden-yellow hue with green and grey highlights; the meniscus is thick and clear. The wine is transparent and brilliant. On the initial nose, one detects fleshy fruit, lovely minerality, and a brioche-like quality; after aeration, notes of peach, apricot, butter, minerality, and white flowers intertwine. On the palate, the attack is clean and lively, followed by fruit flavors that emerge with lovely roundness. Notes of dried fruit appear mid-palate, accompanied by a hint of brioche. Minerality is present from start to finish, blending with a subtle toasty note on the finish. A harmonious, balanced wine to be enjoyed now with turbot in hay-infused butter or a zander fillet with a "mendiant" garnish (dried fruits and nuts). Suitable for cellaring for up to 10 or 12 years.
