'We are thrilled to also offer you our Matinee line of wines which are almost exclusively released to our restaurant clients, some of the finest restaurants in the United States and abroad. We made a few extra cases this year that we are making available to our mailing list. 

All Matinee wines are made with the same love, care, and attention as my single vineyard designate offerings. Our Matinee wines generally feature less new French oak (roughly 20-30%), making them perfect for earlier consumption in less formal settings. Some of you may have already tasted a Matinee bottle and enjoyed them for years, but for most of you it will be a new experience.'

Paul Lato on Matinee Pinot Noir

This is a sophisticated, harmonious blend of three great vineyards from two appellations in Santa Barbara County: Solomon Hills Vineyard from Santa Maria Valley blends beautifully with John Sebastiano and Zotovich Vineyards from Sta. Rita Hills. Each vineyard brings to this blend nuances of its appellation. Santa Maria Valley shows through in the fragrant and perfumed nose with a touch of spice, while Sta. Rita Hills brings additional structure, weight, and power.
