Druvor
Det är en blandning av Godello och Treixadura huvudsakligen, med enlite Loureira och Albariño. Alla dessa traditionella sorter gör detRibeiro och historiskt närvarande i regionens vita viner. Dessa druvor jäser i rostfria ståltankar och efter en vinterlagring i samma kärl tappas de på flaska. Färska och ärliga viner av platsens identitet.
Tasting note
'The Ribeiro Puro Castes Blancas is a white blend, mostly Godello and Treixadura with some Loureira and Albariño. It fermented and matured in stainless steel and has moderate alcohol (12.5%) and good freshness. This is a classic Ribeiro blend from their own grapes, from different vineyards and with a classic nose of bay leaf, moss and river stones, quite Ribeiro. It's medium-bodied and has a good balance between roundness and freshness. 8,900 bottles produced.'
Tiro al Blanco (O’ Morto Wines) was created in Ribadavia in 2017 by Matías Michelini, Alex Gonzalez and Sergio Cortes. They have four hectares of vines averaging 15 years of age from which they produce 25,000 bottles. 2019 was a warmer year with a healthy crop, as they had a dry harvest and the ripening and picking was paused. 2018 was rainier and required more precision. They harvest early anyway, and in 2019 they harvested a little earlier and the grapes kept the acidity. In 2019, all the wines went through malolactic (there was a lot of malic acid and they think it was good), and in 2018 they didn't. There will be a couple of new wines next time, a new single-vineyard white from Ribeiro and a red from the Miño banks in Ribeira Sacra.
