Tasting note
The secret behind good wines from South Eastern Australia lies, among other things, in limiting crop yields and harvesting healthy, perfectly ripened grapes. This approach achieves a perfect balance between fruit and structure. The Chardonnay grapes used for this wine underwent alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and the majority of the wine was subsequently matured "sur lie" (on the lees) within those same tanks.
Chardonnay Cottage Garden displays the grape’s classic aromatic profile, featuring notes of white peach, pear, and lime. On the palate, the wine is remarkably fresh and lively—starting with citrus notes before quickly developing a rich, full-bodied texture, clearly enhanced by time spent in oak barrels.
A classic Australian Chardonnay that can be enjoyed on its own, or paired beautifully with shellfish, fish dishes, or gratinated dishes.
